Mill Pond
School Counselors
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."
- Helen Keller
Welcome to the Mill Pond School Counselor's Website!
Mill Pond School is the home for the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade for Westborough Public Schools. It is the first time that students from Armstrong, Fales & Hastings Elementary Schools come together for 4th grade and are together as a graduating class from high school. We are currently the home to the Classes of 2030, 2031, and 2032!
Mill Pond School has three school counselors, each whom:
cycles through each grade along with our cohort of students.
is accessible as we move our offices each year so we can be located on the same grade level floor as our students.
gets to know, builds rapport & develops relationships with students and their families.
Students have many opportunities to connect with their school counselor as each:
greet their students each day as they arrive into school & wish them a good afternoon on their way out of school.
are often at recess and lunch interacting with students.
may visit classrooms to support students in their active learning environments.
Students also visit their counselor’s office for a variety of reasons, such as:
seeking help with any challenges.
learning to manage strong feelings.
assistance with addressing peer conflicts/challenges
collaborative problem solving.
Developing excellent relationships with students and families is the priority for eac h of us. As caretakers, you know your child best. Through collaboration with caretakers, your child’s school counselor, and teachers and administrators, your child will be encouraged and supported as a learner on this journey of academic, social and emotional growth.
